Kathryn O’Connor Mertens
Kathryn O’Connor Mertens was born and raised in Canada and spent her late teens and early twenties living in Portland, Oregon. She has made her home on the edge of England’s Peak District, but her life has never belonged to one side of the Atlantic: she regularly spends long periods in Canada and the United States and moves between three countries she thinks of as home.
Kathryn worked as an ICU nurse until becoming disabled, and writing has since become her way of staying connected to a world that suddenly grew much smaller. WILD HORSE COUNTRY is her debut novel.
